ARTWORK SPECIFICATION FOR DIGITALLY PRINTED BANNERS

For digital printing the artwork must be of high resolution, no less than 300dpi at ¼ size.

We can only use files that can be opened on a PC. Files from MAC computers will not open unless they are converted to a PC file. MAC files can be converted to a PDF file.

Files sent from a PC should be sent using Photoshop, Illustrator 10 and saved as: EPS, Tiff or AI. (Please ensure that a PDF file is included with any of these file formats so that our Sales team can open on a sales PC.)

All fonts within the files should be converted to curves.

When artwork for banners is being produced remember:

  1. 1. For hemmed and eyeleted banners add an extra 40mm all round or bleed to the print size if you don’t want white hems.
  2. 2. For pole pocketed banners the formula is 4 x diameter of round pole + 15mm for stitching. If banners are to be double-sided remember to check your artwork for how hem or pocket turn over is going to affect the graphic on the other side.
  3. 3. Make any pictures or text at least 50mm inside finished size of banner to allow for the stitching.
  4. 4. To get the best colour results the artwork must be saved as CMYK rather than RGB.

YOUR ARTWORK MUST BE PRINT READY OTHERWISE ARTWORK CHARGES OF UP TO £60 PER HOUR MAY BE INCURRED – BUT ONLY WITH YOUR AUTHORISATION.

This specification does not cover artwork for flags – please contact us for details.
